Words from HoD
Since inception, the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science has been shaping and brightening the future of students through a collaborative and interactive teaching-learning environment and time-honored pedagogy. We are fully dedicated to creating a diverse, progressive and inclusive work environment. Because land cannot be increased. Houses, shops, roads, factories, schools, hospitals etc. are all built on the land itself;
“The nation that destroys its soil, destroys itself.”
- Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd President of The United States of America
So the cultivable land is decreasing day by day so keeping in mind the need of a new research in agriculture the department has well equipped laboratories for the students. Facility is also provided to the students to present their presentations in seminars through PPT. We continue to guide the students in preparation of problem soils of various fields like manuscript preparation and its remediation, research data collection, its analysis, research paper writing and reference collection etc. We are in the process of creating smart class room facilities. In this challenging scenario with this technological mindset and incorporating online education into pedagogy, we will improve our aptitude and ensure a bright academic future. Cropping and farming systems and new technology farming practices through soil testing are given to undergraduate and masters students through practical crop production and research tests. In this course of learning, students are also motivated with the latest education in agriculture through KVK and Kisan Mela, so that students develop new technology in the field of farmers and agriculture and they can overcome it in difficult situations.
